The U.S. women soccer team made it to the final of the 2011 world cup soccer in Germany, with a hard fought victory over France.Abby Wambach was again the hero with another unstoppable header that dampened Frances hopes, then Alex Morgan sealed the win (3-1), which put them in the final again for the first time since 1999 when they won.
U.S took the lead when Lauren Cheney scored in the ninth minute, but France determination and skillful play resulted in numerous shots and they got the equalizer from an intended cross from Sonia Bompastor.
Now it’s all about the Japanese team, which is very good.
