High School Memories

The year book is a smaller and more convenient time capsule that high school presents to its students and faculty members to treasure. It captures all the huge events and activities that have an impact and represents the school in any way possible. Everyone gets a chance to be in the year book, whether it be in a simple class picture or for being the class clown. Throughout the course of the year, multiple clubs and sports teams activate their members and stir up events that get captured to be placed in the year book which is later viewed and remembered by hundreds. Thus, if one finds that they are not apart of any club, team or they haven’t done anything to stand out among the crowd their picture will only be taken once and that is not such a great thing. This may result in someone pretending to be a member of a club or even changing their image to something outrageous to be captured. The pressure of wanting to stand out and being remembered can be a heavy burden to carry especially if you’re a senior and no one knows who you are. Not having an impact and not leaving your mark in school can be quite disappointing when you reminisce on your journey. Having a year book in school is a positive thing to have and to be apart of. It allows one to live to the fullest and take part in activities while having the assurance that something will capture the moments in action. However, it also presents negatives; like students making fun of your class picture, writing horrible things under it or not being remembered enough to be in a lot of pictures. Regardless of the effects of one’s picture being taken or not, one should enjoy the years spent in school because it only happens that way once so we should make the best of it and remember the priceless moments
